FINALISING DATE

About 48 /24 hours ahead of the fore-casted date we will discuss and confirm this date/time with the Funeral Directors – any reservations as to the suitability of the weather to complete the Burial at Sea including passenger comfort will be discussed, agreed and /or a revised date confirmed.

MAMARINE.COM LLP RESERVE THE RIGHT TO NOT TAKE PASSENGERS*

On the day of the Sea Burial a final weather checks are made on the BBC R4 - 05:20 shipping forecast. If the weather is deemed by the Skipper of the vessel to be unsuitable to take passengers on the committal sea voyage, Mamarine.com Llp reserves the right not to take passengers to sea. 
In these circumstances, following the family/friends paying their respects to their loved one, the Skipper, crew and vessel will put to sea to complete the Committal in accordance with the MMO Burial at Sea Licence.  

SAFETY AT SEA

Mamarine.com Llp will always take passenger comfort and safety as the determining factor on passengers going to sea and will fully support our Skipper’s right to make the final decision as to the suitability of allowing passengers to go to sea.

The coffin and any inner liner must be made of natural, non-toxic materials.They must both be able to withstand any impact and be able to carry the body.
